Good Smile Company have finally released details of the eagerly awaited Touhou figures on their website and both of them will be appearing January 2010. If you do not know about Touhou, it's a very popular doujin series of danmaku or 'bullet-hell' games - click here to find out more.

First up is the Reimu Hakurei Figma. She looks very impressive and will likely sell well. What I'd really like to see is people making model danmaku to recreate her attacks - a fair amount of patience and time would be required though ^^;

Marisa Kirisame has also been announced and she will be in Nendoroid form. Although I love Nendoroids, I prefer the Reimu Figma to Marisa - can't put my finger on exactly why that is. Marisa is still cute though, she seems to have a very 'down-to-earth' personality about her in this form.

If you're looking for pre-orders though, you may have a tough time - both of these figures will only be available from NicoNico Chokuhan, Animate, Gamers and Tora no Ana. Judging from Good Smile's website, they'll only be available in retail stores and not online. If you want one of these, you will have to either go to Japan yourself, get someone you know to buy one for you or try one of the many online services that can buy things in Japan for you - be prepared for significantly increased cost if you go down the last option though.
