I blog to share my life interest of Japan and Japanese culture. Whilst my interest started off with anime and manga, it's since grown to encompass all things Japanese. As part of an 'otaku' lifestyle, I enjoy watching anime, reading manga and collecting figures. I have been to events both in the UK and in Japan itself to experience the culture first hand. My skill at languages is limited at best but I do occasionally self-study Japanese as a language.
Professionally I am an Information Systems Manager, helping to enable collaborative ways of working across distributed user groups. I have specific experience with Opentext Livelink 9 and Microsoft Office Sharepoint Services (MOSS 2007). My work aligns with my other interest in web development and design. Ideally, I'd like to develop my career to be able to use my project management experience, web development skills and knowledge of Japanese culture together.

Website Design
I am a self-taught web designer and programmer with an eye for design. Over the years I have familiarised myself with HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Javascript and jQuery. I mainly develop around the Joomla! content management system, creating website templates and extensions as well as creating websites based on the Joomla! CMS.
My work includes:
- Alcon 2010 - A bespoke website for the Alcon 2010 anime convention.
- Animeleague - A bespoke home portal and template for Animeleague Club London.
- KyokoHunter.net - My personal website and blog. Based on the Joomla! content management system with a bespoke template and module extensions.
- KyokoHunter.net Mobile - A mobile version of my personal website and blog, designed to give an optimum browsing experience for visitors using mobile devices (currently enabled for iPhone and iPod Touch visitors).
I am currently working on ongoing tweaks for my blog here at KyokoHunter.net and a project aimed at the wider community of those interested in Japanese culture.
Anime and Manga

My exposure to anime was the spark of inspiration that started my interest in Japan. I continue to enjoy anime and manga series both new and old, with some of my favourites including Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (named Rumbling Hearts for its English release), Code Geass and Toradora. You can follow what I have watched and read at MyAnimeList.
Figures

I'm a fan of anime and manga figures and have a sizeable collection to my name. I focus mainly on collecting Nendoroids, the super-deformed poseable figures produced by Good Smile Company. I keep track of what I have in my collection on MyFigureCollection.net.
Art

Although I haven't had much opportunity recently, in the past I've drawn and created anime-style artwork. You can see my portfolio of artwork on my DeviantArt profile.
My requested work includes:
- Comic artwork for AnimeLeague flyers
- Digital colouring for Alcon 2009 convention badges
My non-requested work includes:
